REFLECTIONS

Experience: In the beginning of this module, I found it very stressful because there was so much information to take in. It was non-stop. What made it more stressful was when we all had to go through all of the lecture videos and note it all down in the blog. So the first few weeks were genuinely the worst. However, after watching all of the lecture videos and finally completing noting down the notes onto my blog, I definitely felt relieved. Overall, I experienced many emotions throughout this module. Sometimes I felt like I wanted to drop out but other times I felt like I was having fun and doing well. Unfortunately, I missed out on quite a few classes due to illness and a few private issues but thankfully I was able to catch up and keep track. Would I recommend other students to take this module? Yes I would but I would also warn them with the workload.

Observations: Seeing other people's works during these 14 weeks helped me a lot. Me looking at other people's designs doesn't mean I was copying, I was able to gain further knowledge and understanding. It definitely helped me gain new ideas as well. Seeing how other people do their work was also interesting to me; not everyone uses the same method, everyone has their own ways which is amazing. 

Findings: After 14 weeks, I've realised that I definitely learned a lot of new things and as well as appreciating stuff like fonts a lot more. I look at designs differently compared to 14 weeks ago. Seeing the fonts used on billboards, bottles, food packaging, movie posters... I never thought I would ever think so deeply when observing those things. I'm really glad I was able to benefit from this module.
